Dirty Rain and Other Things

Last Friday I noticed that my truck was kind of dirty. More than normal, I mean. I hadn't really done anything to get it dirty so I just figured that Anthony had been throwing mud again. Then I noticed another car in the parking lot was uniformly spackled. In fact, all the cars in the parking lot had muddy spots. Like this,

The newspaper called it "dirty rain" and the whole area got covered. Evidently, there was enough dust and muck in the air to party with the rain drops, but not enough moisture to really wash it all away. Weird.

I found this picture on my phone from a couple of weeks ago. Andrea snapped the sunset out the passenger side window on a particularly colorful evening. Objects in the mirror are bigger than you can imagine.
Finally, another picture that Andrea sent from Idaho. It's not every year that you can go sledding on the last week of March. I heard tell that icy conditions made for some spectacular wipe-outs.
