Colorado

So you guessed it, we've been in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado for the last week and have had a wonderful time. Our first stop was on the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountain National Park where we set up the tent for a couple of days. The campsite was near the town of Estes Park, in the Glacier Basin area, and was about perfect for the level of camping we wanted to do. Yes, we all fit in that little tent.

The park is pretty crowded this time of year, but we got a good hike in (see the last picture here) and were able to relax in relative peace.

On Wednesday we packed up the truck and headed west over the top of the mountains to the other side of the park...
across the Continental Divide (spit on this side goes to the Pacific ocean, on that side to the Gulf)...
and to a beautiful little rental house near Granby where we met Grandpa and Grandma and Stuart and Meggan. It was nice to sleep in a real bed.
