A few of the cracked floor tiles in the kitchen had grown from hardly noticeable to definitely broken and so I decided to try my hand at replacing them. This kind of project is never that easy, of course, and I discovered that the dishwasher had been leaking and had warped the underlayment around more than just a few cracked tiles. Here's a "before" picture, as in "before I yanked the dishwasher and pulled up a couple of layers of rotted particle board." What a mess.
In the end it really wasn't too difficult to put back together again, although I noticed just the other day that one of my new tiles has already cracked. Probably shouldn't quit my day job...
Paxton and Anya's primary project during the Holidays was to set up as many obstacles to normal progress as possible. I love them for it.
Andrea decided to tackle Paxton's room with new paint, curtains, a rug, and closet shelving (she volunteered me to handle that part). I don't have a "before", but did get a "during" with the artist at work.
The new closet shelves.
Finished. With orange dots on the wall, Paxton's favorite color!
Next up?
