Geo-History Quiz

Can anyone tell me the significance of this little mountain range?

I'll give you a clue: Two friends climbed the tallest peak (the one on the left) long before their lives became connected in a way they would never have imagined.

I've already told a couple of you what this is, so you can't answer. Also, the people who were with me when I snapped this picture are not eligible to participate. I'll answer with a comment to this post in a few days.

Okay, I know WHO your talking about but I don't know the name of mountain range. What a neat story to tell! Can you tell us more about it? I wonder if they took a picture back then?

Happy Days to you! Alison

Hey...

Is it Mt. Aneis (however you spell it) - you and Andrea and a couple others hiked it when you were here - and that's when you two got together ???

So MaryAnn was about eighty miles and a generation off and Alison claims she knows, but didn't say...

Thirty five or so years ago a high school senior and a young worker climbed the highest peak in the Cabinet range of mountains just south and west of Libby, MT. Today, those two men are the Grandfathers of our little Pandemoniums.
